AB  - O acolhimento dos alunos imigrantes é de suma importância, tendo em vista o cenário de aumento das migrações internas e internacionais e o crescente número de imigrantes nas escolas. É identificada a falta de política pública que assegure a educação dos alunos imigrantes para além da sua inserção na escola, que contemple seus desafios dentro do ambiente escolar muitas vezes provocados pela dificuldade com a língua ou cultura. Portanto, procura-se, por meio deste trabalho, estudar a importância do acolhimento na escola, principalmente para esse grupo de alunos; identificar seus desafios, refletir o papel do professor e da escola no trabalho de acolhimento e integração dessas crianças, sugerindo algumas ações possíveis de serem aplicadas. Trata-se de uma pesquisa teórica, a fim de estudar e analisar os desafios dos imigrantes taiwaneses na escola brasileira. Através da análise de entrevistas dadas tanto por imigrantes taiwaneses quanto por descendentes de taiwaneses nascidos no Brasil que se inserem nesse contexto, concluiu-se que a língua e a cultura são fatores principais que dificultam a socialização e a aprendizagem dos alunos imigrantes. Alguns exemplos de ações realizadas para acolhida dos imigrantes, além do reforço da importância da escola ser um ambiente pluricultural, de “cruzamento de culturas” e da formação continuada dos docentes, foram apresentados ao final do trabalho
AB  - In view of the scenario of increased internal and international migration and the growing number of immigrants in brazilian schools, the reception of immigrant students is of paramount importance. The lack of public policy that ensures the education of immigrant students beyond their insertion in the school is verified, which contemplates their challenges within the school environment, often caused by the difficulty with language or culture. Therefore, this work aims to study the importance of reception of students at school, especially for this group of students; to identify their challenges, to reflect the role of the teacher and the school in the work of reception and integration of these children, and to suggest some possible actions to be applied. This is an empirical research with qualitative characteristics, in order to study and analyze the challenges of Taiwanese immigrants in Brazilian schools. Through the analysis of interviews given both by Taiwanese immigrants and by descendants of Taiwanese born in Brazil, it was concluded that language and culture are major factors that hinder the socialization and learning of immigrant students. Some examples of actions taken to welcome immigrants, in addition to reinforcing the importance of the school being a multi-cultural environment, of “cross-cultures” and of the continuing education of teachers, were presented at the end of the work
